about
Towers is about finding ways to cope with the world around you.
We've joined up with Daniel McCarthy of The Snuggalos to collaborate on some songs. This is the second single we're ready to share. Since the first EPs and single we have increased our drum recording abilities, have invested in better mics, and have found our third-leg with our newly developing friendship. The three of us have never been in the same room together as we live in different parts of the country. We started this internet trio back in October of 2019, but given the current state of the world that we are living in it somehow feels more relevant now...Dedicated in loving memory to Asif Farooq.
lyrics
Packed up my bags and headed out west
I bought two tickets one-way and I left
It feels like I’m running but only from myself
It feels like I’m running only to forget
Something important must be on your mind
If I can’t speak the truth then what’s the fucking point
I hear what you’re saying
The world’s a scary place but you’re hanging on/slowing down
I don’t like where your heads at
The world’s a scary place but you’re hanging on/slowing down
Towers are leaning wind plays on a dime
Something so subtle how it shapes your life
I’ve got a feeling that you’ve got a brain
Little reminders show you how you’ve changed
I hear what you’re saying
The world’s a scary place but you’re hanging on/slowing down
I don’t like where your heads at
The world’s a scary place but you’re hanging on/slowing down
If you’re feeling tired of just being yourself
